With the start of chilly autumn in Puget Sound area, The City of Edmonds Arts Council welcomes us back indoors with their annual Write On The Sound Writers’ Conference. The two-day affair, Saturday and Sunday October 5-6, 2013 will include teaching seminars conducted by established writers as well a meet-the-author book signing event Saturday evening. Mark this on your calendar.
I will be signing books Saturday evening. On Sunday afternoon, I will conduct a lecture/discussion class on narrative distance. Please plan to attend if you can. (If you are curious to know what I might possibly have in mind when I speak of narrative distance, then you really should attend. Two hints: think flaneur and then ask yourself how do writers manage the relationship between author, narrating persona, character, and reader?)
